Public transport<\/h2>\n

Public transport in Warsaw is well organized, serving the city with buses, trams and metro (subway). A one-day ticket (cost PLN 15 \u2013 approx. EUR 3.51) entitles you to an unlimited number of journeys for 24 hours from its validation. A single-fare transfer ticket costs PLN 4.40 \u2013 approx. EUR 1.03 . The type of ticket you should use is called \u2018normal\u2019, and it may be purchased at a newsagent\u2019s or in public transport vending machines, available at many bus stops, tram stops and metro stations. You may also download a smartphone application jakdojade.pl<\/a> \u2013 it will help you to move around the city without getting lost. It is available in English, but in order to use it you will need internet access on your smartphone. Warsaw is covered with the 4G mobile network.<\/p>\n

The estimated cost of the taxi transfer from the airport to the city centre is approx. PLN 40 (approx. EUR 9.35), but it depends on the time and day of the travel.<\/p>\n

If you need to order a taxi to travel within the city during your stay, please ask your hotel concierge for help or recommendations.<\/p>\n

You may also use bus line 175 departing directly from the public bus stop by the arrival hall. It will take you to Plac Pi\u0142sudskiego which is right next to the University of Warsaw. Bus 175 goes past most of the SED recommended hotels. It will definitely be more convenient than the train connection recommended by the airport authorities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
